LIF Media Inc. ("LIF Media", "we", "us", "our") is a video production and social media management company based in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. This Privacy Policy covers our public website (lifmedia.ca) and our social media management platform (social.lifmedia.ca). It explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you submit a contact or project inquiry form, we collect the information you provide: your name and email address (required), and optionally your phone number, company name, budget range, service interest, and project details. We do not collect payment information, passwords, or sensitive personal data through this website.
Our website also automatically collects anonymized analytics data — including pages visited, session duration, device type, and general location — through Google Analytics 4.
When you or an authorized representative connect a social media account through our management platform (social.lifmedia.ca), we additionally collect: OAuth access tokens for the connected accounts (YouTube, Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok), the connected channel's public profile information (name and thumbnail, used solely to confirm the correct account was linked), and the video content and metadata you upload for scheduling and publication. We access only the minimum data required to perform the requested publishing actions on your behalf.
How we use your information
We use the information you submit through our forms solely to respond to your inquiry and discuss a potential project. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We use analytics data to understand how visitors find and use our website so we can improve it. This data is anonymized and not linked to individual identities.
We use OAuth tokens and connected account data exclusively to schedule and publish the video content that you or your authorized representative have reviewed and approved, on your behalf and with your explicit consent. We do not access, store, or share any other data from your connected social media accounts.
YouTube API Services
Our social media management platform uses the YouTube API Services. By connecting your YouTube channel through our platform, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. The use of information received from the YouTube APIs is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Specifically, we use the YouTube API to:
- Upload and publish video content that you or your authorized representative have approved (
youtube.uploadscope). - Display your connected channel's name and thumbnail so you can confirm the correct channel is linked, and to show the status of your uploads (
youtube.readonlyscope).
We do not access, store, or share any other data from your YouTube account beyond what is described above. You can revoke LIF Media's access to your YouTube account at any time by visiting the Google Account permissions page.
Third-party services
This website and platform use the following third-party services that may process your data:

OAuth access tokens for connected social media accounts are stored securely and used only to perform publishing actions you have authorized. Tokens are deleted within 30 days of account disconnection or upon written request to contact@lifmedia.ca. Scheduled and published content metadata may be retained for client reporting purposes and is deleted upon client request.
Your rights under PIPEDA
Under Canada's PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent to the collection or use of your personal information (subject to legal or contractual restrictions)
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
