These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the LIF Media website (lifmedia.ca), our social media management platform (social.lifmedia.ca), and any services provided by LIF Media Inc. ("LIF Media", "we", "us"). By using this website, accessing our platform, or engaging us for a project, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
LIF Media provides video production services and operates a social media management platform (social.lifmedia.ca) that allows authorized clients and their channel managers to schedule and publish video content to connected social media accounts, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Our public website (lifmedia.ca) is provided for informational purposes. You may not use it for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the site or interfere with any other party's use of it. All content on this site — including text, images, and video — is the intellectual property of LIF Media Inc. and may not be reproduced without written permission.
2. Quotes and proposals
Any estimate, quote, or proposal provided by LIF Media is valid for 30 days from the date issued and does not constitute a binding contract. A project begins only when a formal written agreement (typically a project contract or statement of work) is signed by both parties and a deposit has been received.
3. Intellectual property
Upon receipt of final payment in full, the client receives a licence to use the delivered video content for the purposes agreed in the project contract. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Raw footage, project files, and source assets remain the property of LIF Media Inc.
- LIF Media retains the right to use delivered work in its portfolio, showreel, social media, and promotional materials.
If you require exclusive rights to raw footage or wish to opt out of portfolio use, this must be requested in writing at the time of signing and may be subject to an additional fee.
4. Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, necessary approvals, and timely feedback during production. Delays caused by the client may affect the project timeline and could result in additional charges. Clients confirm they have the right to use any materials (logos, music, talent releases, location permits) they provide to LIF Media for the project.
5. Connected social media accounts
When connecting social media accounts through our platform (social.lifmedia.ca), you represent and warrant that:
- You are the owner of, or have explicit authorization to manage and publish content to, each connected account.
- Your use of the platform and the content you publish complies with the terms of service of each connected platform.
- You have obtained all necessary rights, licences, and consents for the content you upload and publish through our platform.
By connecting your YouTube channel, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. By connecting Facebook or Instagram accounts, you agree to Meta's Terms of Service. By connecting LinkedIn, you agree to LinkedIn's User Agreement. By connecting TikTok, you agree to TikTok's Terms of Service. LIF Media acts solely as a publishing agent on your behalf and is not responsible for platform policy violations arising from the content you direct us to publish.
You may revoke our access to any connected account at any time by disconnecting it through the platform settings or directly through the platform's own permission management (e.g., Google Account permissions for YouTube).
6. Third-party platforms
LIF Media is not responsible for changes made by third-party platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others) that affect how delivered or published content performs, displays, or is distributed. Platform algorithm changes, policy updates, technical limitations, or account suspensions imposed by those platforms are outside our control.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LIF Media's total liability for any claim arising from a project or use of this website is limited to the total amount paid by the client for that specific project. LIF Media is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
8. No warranty
This website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. LIF Media does not guarantee that the website will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Brunswick.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this website after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
